The hernandina is a hybrid citrus that is very similar to the clementine. Hernandina trees are very lush and develop very quickly. 

The size, shape, juice and quality of hernandinas are reminiscent of clementines, but their color development takes place approximately two months later. 

These small and juicy citrus fruits can be harvested from February, more precisely from the later part of the month, but it is advisable not to pick them too late in order to prevent their deterioration.

Hernandinas do not contain seeds, and it for this reason that they are particularly suitable for consumption at the table.
